Child First Always is a principle that honors and protects all children. This includes keeping them away from harm in all scenarios and is part of the ethical responsibility of the Lead.

However, it is also the responsibility of the Lead to not make and present assumptions that are going to be critically damaging to the individual. Studying and commitment to antibias and antiracist principles is the most just-driven approach to ensure providers are knowledgable with complete information.
