I had this teacher in school that gave us a sheet of paper full of questions about ourselves and what we enjoy doing. She later on collected all that information and started making fun activities around the things we liked. She would look for educational online games and find ways for people to use their creativity during reading and writing sessions. There weren’t many people in that class that enjoyed sports, so she never gave us any material related to sports. I think learning what our students like doing can help us build activities and sessions around them and make them fun and creative.
