Both WAC 110-300-0160 and WAC 110-300-0320 discuss diversity and collaboration in the classroom and with families. Primarily, the importance of providing culturally and racially diverse learning is encouraged through use of classroom materials and books. Encouraging diversity also includes stepping in and redirecting or stopping biased behavior from both children and adults. These actions encourage and facilitate an understanding of diversity as well as promote collaboration between different cultural and racial groups.
