In WAC 100-300-160, It says that early learning educators must provide culturally and racially diverse learning opportunities through their curriculum activities and materials that represent the kids along with their families and staff. On page 11 of the handout, it states that the regulations of an early learning program set equitable standards and acknowledge diversity and individuality. Having reading material that talks about and shows different cultural values, decorations, and celebrations of all cultures is an example of something you can provide in a classroom to teach diversity.
