I can become familiar with the symptoms of child abuse by having a copy of the “Protecting the Abused and Neglected Child” the pamphlet and be sure to watch out for signs in the pamphlet that indicate possible abuse. To follow state laws and community procedures that protect children against abuse and neglect, I must immediately report the circumstances when I have reason to believe a child is suffering from physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
