Written polices are helpful for current staff to be able to refresh on standards and what is expected of them. They are necessary in training new staff to learn expectations for they should function. Written policies are also helpful to engage parents and enroll them in their child’s development–showing places of growth where their child exhibits dangerous/challenging behavior, outline steps staff have used to engage their child, and to shape future interaction and growth.
