Parents are the primary educators of their children because they are the ones that have the most impact. They are spending the most time and have the most control over what the child does. By giving advice when needed, sharing observations and information about the child freely will help parents in their roll as primary educators3 when there is an open communication between provider and family it allows for a free flow of ideas and resources. It can help both the provider and the family help the child to learn and grow.
