    Yes, animals are an effective teaching tool. I own an in-home daycare and we have two dogs in our home. I have had the dogs since they were babies. So not only did it teach my children some life lessons it has also taught the children in care as well. It teaches children how to be gentle and you can use an animal to relay the child’s feelings as well as the animals.
