I would gently talk to parent about making sure to pick child up on time, child is upset when having to wait so long and seeing the other children leave distresses him/her. I would remind her of pick up time and let them know it is important to pick up on time.

Some ideas to be inclusive in the classroom are to have pictures of different ethnicities and talk about different culture round the world. We can also include more learning from the children who have different cultural backgrounds in the classroom and learn words in their language.
