I usually try to bring up positive things (grows and glows) about their child before I present any topics of concern.

I handle challenging conversations by staying calm, listening carefully, and communicating respectfully. With parents, I focus on honesty, empathy, and working together to solve problems. With coworkers, I address disagreements professionally and look for common ground. With children, I use calm, simple language and positive guidance to encourage better behavior. Active listening, patience, and staying professional are key strategies I use in difficult situations.

When navigating challenging conversations with parents, coworkers and children, I try to stay calm, neutral, informative and encouraging. I believe it is important to listen carefully, show respect and focus on solving the problem instead of placing blame. For example, when speaking with parents about concerns, I try to communicate honestly while also being supportive and understanding. With coworkers, I focus on teamwork and keeping communication professional and positive. When working with children, I use patience and encouragement to help them feel safe and understood.

When I need to have a difficult conversation with a coworker, I always think about what I am going to be saying to them, and when I do, I use a kind tone and have an open mind for what their response may be in the scenario.

I try to use a positive tone overall. I like the sandwich technique of starting with a positive, then addressing the problem and then ending with a positive.
