Ages and Stages
Resources Needed
Draw an outline of a child and label the picture with one of the following: Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, or School-Agers to age eight.
Then write down everything you know about the assigned developmental stage by answering the following questions:
- What is characteristic about this age-group?
- What is it they like to do?
Ex. 3 Year Olds
1. 3 Year olds can have a sensitive period called “small objects” phase in which they are drawn to everything in their environment and examining it close-rocks, flowers, leaves, buttons, etc.
2. They like to carry it around everywhere, show it off to their caregiver and peers, and develop sense of ownership.
