MemberMarch 27, 2024 at 6:08 pmTo build connections with children in the classroom, early learning providers should be present, engaged, and listen actively. They should respect individuality, create a safe environment, encourage independence, foster positive relationships, celebrate achievements, be flexible, promote collaboration, and communicate openly with families.

MemberMarch 30, 2024 at 3:22 pmChildren sense when you are not sincere. My advice is to spend time observing and getting to know the attitudes and behaviors of individual children. They will appreciate it all the more when you approach them and address their needs with the knowledge and understanding that comes from knowing a child well.

MemberApril 7, 2024 at 3:37 amWhat advice would you give to other Early learning Providers who want to build connections with children in their classroom?
Some advice I can give, would be to show enthusiasm with children. With every child, it is important to show a lot of excitement to be around them, play with them, and teach them. Most of the time, the child will feel eager but a little nervous to be themselves, so it is important that us providers let them express themselves, by being welcoming and enthusiastic!
