1. What You Learned
From this module, my main takeaway was the Washington Administrative Codes. While I knew Washington had expectations and rules for childcare centers to follow, I was unaware of what those codes and laws entailed to ensure children’s safety. From my learning, I feel I have a foundational understanding of the WACs and would be able to easily navigate and comprehend them if needed. Finally, I found this takeaway to be important because I can make sure I am following the legal codes set by Washington as a childcare provider and keep my childcare center accountable if need be.
2. What You Will Do
Start: Recording my professional development training to provide to childcare centers in which I am employed. Additionally, I will look into more professional development classes for early childhood education after completing this course.
Stop: Talking about coworkers because it is not professional.
Continue: Following the professional expectations set by my place of employment.
