If I was a parent of an infant or young child, three things that I would want from my childcare provider are…
1. For them to treat my child with kindness and not yell (in a mean way) or speak to them in a negative
2. I want them to play with my child and get to know them
3. I want them to keep my child safe and care for them when they need them.
3 fears that I have are…
1. They would force my children to do certain activities that are not age-appropriate, or force-feed them.
2. They would not pay much attention to my child or have a biased attitude toward my child
3. They would not pay attention to my child’s needs and emotions and would ignore them.

My three biggest fears would be my child would be scare uncomforted and lonley
-
I would want them to treat my child kindly and safely, to give them the attention they need and communication when/if there is a problem. I would be scared of the child being neglected or harmed, treated unfairly, and the class not having enough support.

If I was A parent of a young child I wouldn’t want my child caregiver to make sure that they are clean, taken care of, and observed to see where they are at learning wise and to help.

1. Compassion for the children.
2. academic style learning
3. early interdiction to music and art

I would want my children to have child care providers that were sensitive and kind, creating an environment where they felt safe and comfortable to speak their feelings as well as feeling safe to ask for help where they needed it. I’d want providers who were sensitive and kind with their approach to teaching, meaning they never use harsh language or negativity to achieve certain outcomes from my children. I want a provider that gives positive reinforcement and makes learning fun for my kids.
2. My biggest fears would be the exact opposite. I grew up with abusive teachers and my biggest fear is not only my child, but ANY child having a teacher like I did. He was cruel and mean, he was cold and calculating. He used fear as a tactic to get me to behave a certain way. This is NOT how children should be minded.

3 fears: The provider might not discipline the same way as I do, which may undermine my practices
My child doesn’t involve themself as much, and teacher doesn’t try to help them engage
My child is developmentally behind and I haven’t noticed, and neither have they so we don’t
