As a child of immigrant parents, I know how it is to feel different. As a teacher I encourage all my students to talk about their parents, family, traditions and celebrate them.

I totally get what you’re saying! Growing up as a child of immigrant parents, I often felt different too. Now, as a teacher, I make it a point to encourage my students to share about their families, traditions, and cultures. It’s such a great way to celebrate diversity and help everyone feel proud of their unique backgrounds.
