We can make healthy habits fun by singing songs related to the habits (e.g. washing hands, eating healthy, etc) and making the habits into a game. For older kids you can do fun cooking experiments and also model how to engage in the healthy habits.

It is always fun to sing about it. Singing the vegetable song or making up stories. Longer handwashing with scented foam soaps. Teaching about germs and how germs make you sick. Teaching how to cough or sneeze.

One way to make healthy habits is you can come up with some song rhymes and a game to help the kids have fun while learning the healthy habits.

I can make healthy habits fun by participating and showing kids how being healthy isn’t hard. Lead by example by washing hands often, playing with them at recess and explaining why it’s important to take care of our bodies.

Introduce Pretend to play, like brushing dolphin teeth and singing songs to eat healthy food.

Make healthy habits a game. Have a little prize box where each child wins something.

That is a great idea using kitchen items to make that fun way. I sing a clean up song to get kids to clean it seems to work.

Do music with the children, in the past when I was little, I was told that you can sing the happy birthday song to wash hands.

Make everything into a song or game. Sing the abc’s while washing your hands so you know you washed them long enough etc.

An early learning provider can make heathy habits fun by engaging in simple activities such as taking walks outdoors, dancing in the Movement Room, and encouraging sports (kicking the ball to one another, throwing a ball, jumping rope, bouncy balls). Create fun food board games as a means to teach children.
