    I can celebrate Tomas’s Filipino identity by weaving in Tagalog into my instruction, celebrating his culture with decorations in our classroom, and learning more about the Filipino culture. Additionally, I can connect to his mom by translating his course materials into Tagalog and having a translator assist us in communicating.
