This is the third time in the last two weeks that Mrs. Hopkins has picked up her child
late. Today she did not arrive until 20 minutes after closing time. What I would do is tell Mrs. Hopkins that she can’t be picking up her child late all the time, every now and then is understandable but when it’s the third time and some staff may need to go home for dinner, appointments, taking care of their own family at home, etc Hopkins is affecting the people around her. I would give her a friendly reminder that she needs to be on time but there might be consequences later on if it continues. If she’s gonna be late she could find another family member to pick up her child and text the daycare boss that someone else will be picking up her child since she won’t make it in time.
