While working on the worksheet I noticed that some of the WAC rules in the handout were incorrect and it was usually incorrect in what mattered the most.

From this activity, I learned that attention to detail is key; when it comes to knowing and reading WACs, slow and steady is the way to go. It was easy to skim over the WAC and miss a crucial piece of information, or to go so fast that what I thought was correct was off just a bit, but that bit was the most important one.

There aver half of the WACs were incorrect. The problems range from the initial statement being completely different to a seven actually being a six. No matter how small the difference, the WACs are detailed for a reason.

I found several of the WACs were incorrect, more than were correct. It took a lot of slowing down to find the tiniest details from one number being off to slightly reworded incorrect facts that sounded close enough to be confusing or to be followed incorrectly due to oversight. A lot of hard no’s or lines drawn that are actually more up for interpretation in conjunction with the development of the child or the class at large. Mainly even if you think you know the exact wording I see the need for a constant refresher to make sure it’s not just sounding correct but actually is so.

I discovered that WACs are very specific, and we have to notice the details presented by children to best serve them for their needs, as well as age appropriateness. (such as sleep schedules).

When completing the right WAC or wrong WAC worksheet I noticed that some of the answers were incorrect. I learned that it is so important to pay attention to all the small details on the WAC guidebook because you can easily miss a key point.

I agree with several of the comments here: details matter.

I found this activity to be a little tedious, but I guess they were trying to show that all the details matter.
