Crib: A crib is the most common and widely used sleep equipment for infants. Ensure that the crib meets safety standards, has a firm mattress, and is free from any potential hazards. Use a fitted sheet to cover the mattress tightly.
Bassinet: A bassinet is a smaller, portable sleeping option for newborns and younger infants. It allows for easy access and is convenient for keeping the baby close during the early months. Similar to a crib, make sure the bassinet is sturdy, has a firm mattress, and is free from any loose bedding or suffocation hazards.

An approved crib or playpen with a form mattress. There should be no extra blankets or protectors, since those could lead to suffocation.

Infants should be placed for sleep in a safe sleep environments, witch include a firm crib mattress covered by a tight -fitting sheet in a safety approved crib or bassinet. And keeping the baby’s crib free of lose, fluffy blankets and stuffed animals ( safe sleep environments).

The sleep equipment that should be used for a 2-month-old infant are a single level crib, infant bed, bassinet or playpen. These options are safe and approved for infant sleep equipment and will decrease the risk of SIDS.
