A crib that has a firm mattress, has no blankets that could get tangled up in them cutting off their breathing, and no gaps in between the boards so they won’t roll off or get a body part caught in between.

For a 2-month-old infant, it’s recommended to use a firm and flat sleep surface, such as a crib, bassinet, or portable play yard with a firm mattress and fitted sheet. Avoid using soft bedding, pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals in the sleep area, as these can pose suffocation hazards. Additionally, consider using a sleep sack or wearable blanket to keep the baby warm without the risk of loose bedding covering their face. Always follow safe sleep guidelines from pediatric experts to create a safe and conducive sleep environment for the infant.

Sleep equipment for a 2 month old infant can be a crib, pack n play, or bassinet. This should have a tight fitted sheet and nothing else within the sleeping area.

For a two-month-old infant, you should use a crib, bassinet, or portable play yard with a firm, flat mattress that fits snugly without gaps. The sleep surface should be covered with a tight-fitting sheet. Ensure the sleep area is free from soft bedding, pillows, blankets, toys, and crib bumpers to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Always place the baby on their back to sleep, as this is the safest position. The sleep environment should also be smoke-free and kept at a comfortable temperature.

A crib or play pen with a firm mattress so they do not slip between the mattress and the rails.

Great response, Gracie! A firm mattress in a crib or playpen is indeed essential for infant safety. Well done!
