For a 2-month-old infant, you should use a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-approved crib, bassinet, or play yard with a firm, flat mattress and a fitted sheet. The sleep area should be free of blankets, pillows, toys, or any soft bedding to reduce the risk of suffocation or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Always place the baby on their back to sleep.

A single crib with a firm mattress. No blankets, excess clothes, crib padding, or toys in the crib with the infant.

For a 2-month-old infant, use a firm, flat sleep surface like a crib, bassinet, or play yard that meets current safety standards. The baby should be placed on their back with no soft bedding, pillows, or toys to follow safe sleep guidelines.

You should use a crib with a firm mattress. Nothing else in the crib besides the baby.

For an infant, you will need a single-level crib, infant bed, bassinet or playpen. The mattress must be firm and should touch each side of the crib so that the infant does not get stuck between the crib and the mattress. No stuffed animals or other toys should be in the crib while they sleep.

A 2 month old infant should be sleeping in a crib (ideally) with a fitted sheet, firm “mattress” that cannot move, and no other items in the crib. Play pen or bassinet may be appropriate too as long as nothing is near the child such as toys, blankets, bumpers. Additionally the infant must be placed on their back!

A single level mattress that is firm to prevent squishing inward, with very small gaps such that they cannot fit limbs through.
