A single level crib, basinet or playpen that has a firm mattress with nothing else in the crib with them. Babies should be put to sleep on their backs.

MemberDecember 16, 2025 at 12:00 amThe safest way for a baby to sleep is on its back, alone, in a crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and fitted sheet. The sleep area should not have blankets, pillows, toys, bumpers or loose bedding.Never let babies sleep in swings, bouncers, car seats or other sitting devices because they can cause positional asphyxiation. If a baby falls asleep in such products, they should be placed to sleep in a safe place for babies.

Great job, Kidane! You provided a thorough and informative response that highlights essential safety practices for infant sleep.
