What are your thoughts on screen time for children in childcare? My thoughts on screen time for children in childcare is that I don’t think children should have screen time in childcare unless it’s like 10-15 minutes 20 minutes max during drop off and when parents pick up like watching a movie/show. That’s the only screen time I think they should have because when kids get dropped off and there’s only one teacher it’s easier to have kids all together calm / still waking up until the other teachers get to the daycare. Same with pick-up time if a teacher has to leave early for an appointment or can only work to a certain time it’s easy for kids to relax before pick-up time. Other than that I don’t think screen time should be a thing in daycare because we don’t know how much screen time is given to the children at their homes and at daycare it’s for them to learn new things/play with friends etc.
