I believe it reduces the stress and pressure off the child so they can learn at their own pace without worrying about keeping up with their peers or the fear of falling behind. They can make their own personal goals to achieve.

it can be pretty hard to not step in when doing projects if the kids are having a hard time with it. I try and have my own “project” so i can show them on steps they need help with that way im not doing it for them

A prepared environment gives children the materials they need to learn independently and at their own pace. This helps build confidence, independence, and important skills in daily life, math, and language through hands-on activities. Children can practice until they are ready to move on, which supports their individual learning styles.I do think it can be challenging for teachers to know when to step in and when to let children work on their own, especially with gifted children or those with special needs. Teachers need to carefully observe each child, offer support when needed, and adjust activities so every child can succeed while still encouraging independence.

Montessori’s “Prepared event” helps children grow by giving them a space that is organized, safe, and filled with materials that encourage independence and exploration. When children can work at their own pace, they have the opportunity to practice life skills, build confidence, and develop problem-solving abilities. Montessori activities can support math skills through hands-on materials like counting tools and patterns, and they can support language development through reading, writing, and communication activities.I think it can be challenging for teachers to guide children without stepping in too much. Teachers need to find a balance between offering support and allowing children to discover things on their own. For gifted children, teachers can provide more advanced challenges, while children with special needs may need additional guidance or adapted materials. The goal is to support each child’s individual learning style while still encouraging independence.

I think teachers need to find a balance between helping children and letting them try things independently. Some children may need more support, while others may need extra challenges, so teachers should guide each child based on their individual needs.
