PRESCHOOL FITNESS 2: As Primary Caregiver/Owner of a licensed child care home (capacity 7), I endeavor to foster a well-rounded program to meet the total needs of my children: Mind, Body and Spirit. The aim is to fill children’s lives with positive, continual fun and activity, so that the children may have plenty to participate in, look forward to, and remember. One of the most important statements made in the Fitness 2 course is, that the children may become a part of a team and their ability to carry activity/mobility/good health, and a good social outlook with them throughout their lives. As logical as this thought is, it just really surfaced to the front of my mind. Of course, I have a three year old that is too heavy for me to lift, and an 18 month old that I barely carry a few steps. I have established a preschool gym so that gross motor activities will not suffer during the winter season.

Doing Fitness 2, gave me, not only a standard, but good instructions for engaging the children in a structured exercise routine and allowing them to move freely and participate how they want to in the gym.
