Teachers and parents should have a good relationship. You should supply a classroom that has a range of skill levels and a variety of activities. Remember a child’s culture and diversity should play part.

I too believe that teachers and parents should have good relationship for the benefit and safety of the children. I’ve often had parents who were all ex-something! Or parents with poor health issues which affects the daily life of their child–some hereditary and some self inflicted. What do you do with mixed aged children in a home-care environment? I try to include all the children and give each child their own time and space. I also try to keep my daily schedule into a routine where all can follow. It seems hard sometimes if a child doesn’t know what’s going to happen next. It seems to cause a lot of confusion or disorder! My age group is infants to preschoolers. I try to get the preschoolers prepared to go to kindergarten and teach them not just their ABC’s or 123’s but how to put on their own shoes or clothes.

yes I agree teacher and parents need to have a good and open relationship when it comes to the children, they both need to communicate what the child is learning and what they are having a difficult time with
