Research shows young children learn best through free play and exploring open-ended materials. Sitting still, memorizing, and just following instructions should be limited. What do you think about this?

I agree. From what we’ve learned so far, play is a foundation to how children learn, grow, and discover. To provide this type of environment, it is important to provide time and space for children to experiment, imagine, and discover on their own

I agree 100% that children learn better through play. When kids are free to choose the activity they want to work on and have the opportunity to experiment with different materials and ideas on their own, they have fun through the process of learning. This allows children to gain confidence and master skills by trying and failing as they go.

I believe that hands-on learning is the best for children because they are fully focused on what they are learning. It is hard for some children to focus on someone talking for long periods of time. They might not retain what they are saying. If they are doing a hands on activity, they have to be fully engaged in their activity to complete the task.

I agree, I think all students need to choose their own materials and have the opportunity to explore as they play.

I agree. Children want to move and can’t wait to learn through play
