    Think about trying to function in this society without being able to read. How would you cope? What might be some limitations?

    If I was not able to read, I wouldn’t be able to work in education, help my children with homework, grocery shop, travel safely. Not be able to read is a hard thing to cope with. Not being able to read affects your being able to comprehend things as well.
