Talent Begins in Early Childhood, what are some of the skill-building activities you have used with children in your care?

Some of the best things in life are free, like creativity and imagination. One way to encourage these qualities in children is by playing games that require them to think on their feet and use logic skills!

We play Junior bowling at our daycare- with Small plastic bottles for pins and a tennis ball ..

    It’s so much fun 🙂

Some of the best things I have experienced in our classroom is friendship and unity. It is lovely to see the children modeling the kind words and positivity that we show them

Music and movement are one of the most important tools I like to use in my classroom. Teaches the children about language, creativity self expression, different cultures just to mention some. One activities that I like to do is play different types of music while children are doing an art project for example easel painting how children perceive through music is expressed in their project

In our class, we love using scarves for dancing and with music (they move to the music). It’s visually satisfying, and the kids do very well. We rotate with kids leading the movements sometimes, and sometimes kids move on their own.

We have a fun snowball phonics “fight” that we do. We write a letter on paper, fold it into a ball, play music, and toss the snowballs up. When the music stops, kids pick one snowball, open it up, and tell us the letter and sound.

I use activities such as reading, music, and movement, arts and crafts, puzzles, block pay, outdoor games, and dramatic play to help children develop language, motor, cognitive, social, and creative skills. These activities encourage children to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop their talents.

Talent begins in early childhood, so I try to provide children with lots of opportunities to explore music, movement, and language through play. Some activities I use include singing songs, dancing, playing simple instruments, storytelling, and group discussions. I also incorporate movement games, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, and building activities to help develop motor skills and creativity. These activities help children build confidence, communication skills, coordination, and a love for learning while having fun and discovering their unique talents.

I like to provide children with lots of areas to explore including music, dancing, instruments, storytelling, play theatre, and group story/talk time. They love games with movement, obstacle courses, and building with big lego bricks. These all help the children discover their talents.
