I recently started using rhythm sticks with music in my P4 class. I was amazed that some of my rowdy kids would follow directions because they were so engaged and wanted to participate. We’ve been using them to count, with random songs, and for mini activities when the kids need a break.

I use music in my class room to help with transitions, I find that if you use a song or sounds to prompt the class for something ending or beginning it allows them to know this song or this sounds means it time for something new, and makes transitions go smoothly
