GuestAugust 14, 2022 at 3:51 amNonverbal communication is essential when building relationships between adults and very young children such as infants and young toddlers. As these children don’t always have very many language skills, simple nonverbal interactions are easier for them to understand. When they can easily understand an adult they are interacting with, they can build a trusting relationship with them.

GuestOctober 6, 2022 at 11:09 pmI personally had great friendships with one of my Daycare teachers when I was homeless as a child. Now I am 25 years old and still think about her and how great she made me feel.

GuestFebruary 3, 2023 at 8:51 pmWhen you acknowledge the nonverbal child with a smile, they know that you understand them. They will be happy that they can come to you for their needs. They will feel safe.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 3:47 amAs a young kid, I remember having teachers that would smile and laugh with us and just make the room light up. I remember always being excited to go to learn because I felt comfortable and happy. Such small actions made such a world of difference.
