When a child has his or her moments, giving him/her a chance to settle down or calm down and make choices of center areas to play. To create a healthy classroom environment and invite friends to be involved when the child is ready. Also I noticed that a kid in my class responds to music and he loves to dance.

I agree with the music theory. When my special children come in they know how far they can go and when the music starts and I’m dancing in the kitchen, if they were crying or upset, they stop. They want to join most times. I’m even teaching them how to waltz. It’s a fun dance for them. We even made a dance..stepping on my toes. I video it and send it to the parents who just left, trying to figure out if their child will adjust! SMILES are what I receive and a big THANK YOU. This makes me feel like my job is worth it!
