Often times they have good ideas and can get close to the meaning. Sometimes after reading a book, especially a book with repetition in it, I will hear children repeating those parts or sounds from the book. They like pointing out words that rhyme.

You can encourage them to help each other in their learning. You can incorporate group learning and group projects. You can arrange the children in groups of more advanced and less advanced levels of learning so they can share their knowledge.

Make sure you read and understand the rules of your specific program. You can always ask coworkers for help as well. It is important to maintain communication with staff and parents regarding the children. It is important to be respectful and listen, then work together to implement what works for everyone.
