Be fully aware of physical and psychological stressors that can impact the job. Find support groups or friends to talk to. Have a self-care plan.

Safe play areas, exit routes for emergency, fire safety plans, how doors/facility is locked and shut and monitored, and copy of licenses and compliance information.

Always report concerns to CPS if you suspect abuse or neglect, but you should have evidentiary support and not just suspicions

Excessive screentime effects social skills and emotional development. Screen time should always be limited in learning care environment and suggested for at home.

Having a sense of a child’s needs and their reaction while they respond. Redirection with focus so effective communication happens for the child’s needs to be met.
