1. What did you discover about the WACs while completing the activity?

I discovered the depth, specificity, and necessity of the WACs. They are not only necessary but incredibly important in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.

2. Were you surprised by any of the WACs?

One thing that surprised me about the WACs is the number of codes for teachers, ELPs, and volunteers versus the number of codes for administrators. I have no negative or positive feelings about this difference but when browsing codes in Handout B-2 and looking over the legislature in general, it seems that administrators have a lot fewer requirements compared to active child education facilitators.

3. Can you see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children? Why or why not?

WACs are always in my mind when I am actively caring for children, making sure all my practices are safe, legal, and effective.
