When a parent is late, it can make the child feel anxious and uneasy, and it also puts extra pressure on the staff. I would gently talk with the parent, explain how it affects the child and the program, and ask if there’s a reason for the delay. Then we could work together to find a solution so it doesn’t keep happening.
