Yes, my advice for creating and maintaining a daily routine is to start with simple and consistent steps. First, I think it’s important to set clear times for basic activities like meals, play, rest, and hygiene. It also helps a lot to give children a warning before transitions, because it prepares them and helps them feel calmer.I also believe the routine should be flexible—structured, but still able to adjust depending on how the children feel that day. And something that works really well is using pictures, songs, or visual cues so the children can follow the routine on their own and feel more independent.

Daily schedule is important for children to rely on as it helps them feel secure throughout the day knowing what comes next. its important to build a balanced routine with activities like meals, playtime, and hands on projects to engage with the children in an age-appropriately stimulating environment

The first step is to make a schedule! Then we need to tell the kids the schedule. Visual aids are going to be a big help, especially if this is a younger age group you are working with. Talk through the schedule with them and give them time to remember it (this wont happen right away). As it’s time for a new task, talk them through it! Stick to the schedule, but also have alternatives and be flexible! Things happen and we need to be able to adapt.

A daily schedule should include times for group and individual activities. Times for snacks and water breaks. Times for outside play. And having a visual representation of the schedule and the kids’ eye level will be a great aid. It would be a great idea to have a morning routine with the kids and go over the schedule for the day with them.

Build a routine, plan ahead, keep a schedule. I like to use a planner and have all schedules printed out and accessible to me throughout the day. I also like to wear a watch.

A good daily schedule for children should be consistent, flexible, and balanced. It helps to include a mix of active play, quiet time, meals, and rest. Clear routines help children feel secure and keeping transitions smooth makes the day run easier. Obser9the children’s needs and adjusting the schedule when necessary is also important.

Personally, I believe a good daily schedule should not only allow for consistency but for flexibility in the case that other activities or events are planned for specific days. It is important that the children in your care are aware of any changes to this schedule. Besides this, one should have a written schedule posted where it can easily be seen by both children and family members. Visuals may also play a good part in helping children understand transition times. Maintaining a daily schedule should be consistent but flexible, involve clear communication, observation and adjustments if need be.

building a balanced schedule for children takes time. I think something important, is to have visuals on display and maybe morning meetings that help guide children every day through their routine. visuals help children identify what time of day it is and where they are at on their schedule.

Yes ! I think a lot of children love change even if it’s just a little change and what I mean by that is even by changing the furniture up a bit , maybe adding a few newer objects that are special indicators of methods pointing out more descriptively their schedule for the day , just innovating a more interactive communication between you and you’re class .

Use a visual schedule with pictures and symbols posted at the children’s eye level. This empowers children by giving them ownership of the routine and helping them anticipate what is next, supporting executive function.

A key is to have consistency with your daily schedule, follow it as best as possible, but also understand that sometimes if needed flexibility is vital as well so having slight changes does not through off the children’s day.
