Taking a step back to look at how I am caring for myself and then put into my schedule some additional self care time and make it a priority. I can also reach out to my co workers and see if they can step in to some of the situations can take some of the load.

develop good communication with people around you, such as your coworkers so you can talk to them about how you’re feeling, and get any help/assistance at that time.

Communicate to others about how your feeling and seek help. Take time to breath and clear your brain. Find ways to redirect a new situation if needed.

If you start feeling compassion fatigue it’s important to take time for some self care or talk with coworkers. They are often feeling similarly and can understand and sympathize. It can also be helpful to take a mental health day, if you can arrange it with your director.

the first thing i would do is see if it may be a problem in my sleep sequel (as it often is). if not i would ask what I could do for myslef to make myself feel better. I may see about taking a mental health day.

communicate with my peers/coworkers about how I’m feeling and see what kind of support I would need, also take a step back and analyze the situation and see what I can do to make myself feel better.

I am always letting people around me know that I need a break. It started during parenting but. continued as a teacher. My students always knew when I said I needed a break and became quit it was time to change to the tempo of the room.

When I feel compassion fatigue, I take short breaks, practice mindfulness, and do activities I enjoy to recharge. Connecting with colleagues for support is crucial, and I reflect on the positive impact I make in children’s lives. Balancing empathy with self-care helps me navigate compassion fatigue effectively.

When I start to feel burned out I take time for myself to re-boot. It might be a massage or just take my weekend and do nothing but watch movies with my wife. We sometimes take a weekend and just go some where that we have people taking care of us, we go to restaurants and stay in motels.
