The three most important things I’d want from my childcare provider are:

    1. A stable environment for my child

    2. An environment for my child’s learning to grow

    3. A chance for my child to socialize with peers

    My three fears would be:

    1. My child getting abused

    2. My child being bullied

    3. My child missing me

    1. I would want my child to be taught well.

    2. I would want the teachers to be active in my child’s life and be there for him or her.

    3. I want my child to be safe and comfortable.

    fears:

    1. I’m afraid that they were hurt while I was away and nobody told me about it.

    2. I’m afraid that my child misbehaved and nobody told me about it.

    3. I’m afraid my child didn’t have fun and won’t want to go back.

If I was a parent of a young child, three things I would want most from my child’s provider is

I would want them to give my child all the attention they deserve and need
want them to protect and engage with my child during different daily activities
some fears I would have sending my kid to child care would be the teachers not paying attention to my child or not protecting them from dangers and not being a good support system when they need it most

as a parent whos children are in care, the 3 things i feel and support new parents on most is

1: is my child safe here/with this person?

2: will my child learn things i dont want them introduced to yet from other kids? (this is a big problem in public systems)

3: can i communicate effectively if anything comes up.

each of these questions stems from a fear

1: childs safety. every parent eventually reads about a nursery or school horror story and it can add stress to an already scary new thing.

2: some families have a religion or belief that is very important or a child being exposed to something potentially harmful or scary from another student are all things that are harder to control in a classroom. if these things are of value to the family, it can be a unique anxiety.

3: no parent wants to be lied to about their child. if the parent feels like the care-ers arent fully communicating with they may have a harder time being able to rely on us for support or be scared to inform us of anything going on that may effect the child while in care.

If I were a parent to a young child, three things I would expect from my childcare provider would be open communication with me, attentiveness, and acceptance/fair treatment towards my child.

Three fears I would have with leaving my child in someone else’s care include injuries, unauthorized individuals around my child, or something happening and my child not being able to/being too afraid to tell me.

As a parent of a young child, I would want the following three things from my child’s provider:

    1. Safety and Security: Assurance that my child is in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
    2. Open Communication: Regular updates on my child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
    3. Quality Education and Care: Engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that support my child’s development.

Three fears I might have when leaving my child in someone’s care are:

    1. Neglect or Harm: Fear that my child might not receive adequate attention or could be harmed.
    2. Emotional Distress: Concern that my child might feel anxious, scared, or unhappy being away from family.
    3. Lack of Development: Worry that my child might not receive proper stimulation and opportunities for learning and growth.

I would want assurance that my child’s safety is a top priority I would want communication to be clear and constant and finally I would want my child’s uniqueness to be considered and accounted for.

If you were the parent of a young child, what do you think are the 3 most important things that you want from your child’s provider?

id want to know what my child was interested in at school to continue these interests at home, id want to know how my child was developing at school and if there’s any red flags or milestones, and I would like to know if my child is anxious, or happy, and how they cope at daycare while away from their father and I
