My biggest worry about keeping children safe currently is the world that we live in and the social-political climate. School shootings have gone from something out of the norm to something to be expected, and that terrifies me when it comes to keeping the children safe.

Piggybacking on the previous replies, internet safety and gun violence are two very concerning issues we didn’t have to worry about as much when we were children. With older kids, we not only have to worry about smoking/ drugs/ alcohol, but now vaping/ e-cigs/ etc as well.

If there is any child who is aggressive. If some other child hit, push wantedly or unwantedly.

my biggest fear is making a decision for them thinking that it is the right one and its not, and that it will put them at risk. The internet is also something that worries me especially with this generation.

My biggest worry about keeping children safe is that you cannot predict the people around you.

My biggest worries are school shootings, abuse, and neglect. I’m more interested in learning about procedures for healthy, safety & sanitation.

My biggest worry about keeping them safe is that I would accidentally do something that impacts their ability to learn in a meaningful way. Also, keeping them physically safe on the playground can be challenging.

something will happen to the child, and I would be the one responsible for it.

my biggest worries is that something happens to a child under my care, I.e they choke or break a bone. I would feel responsible and scared in the moment. I would also be scared if I lost a child.

I have a lot of worries, honestly. The state of the world right now and my own personal experiences growing up are why I have many.
Gun violence and suspicions of abuse are big fears for me.
I’m worried about medical emergencies and injuries. I’m worried about making sure children do not hurt each other. I want to provide the safest environment I can so, naturally, I have a lot of worries.

My biggest worry about keeping children that they might get hurt

The biggest worry I have about keeping children safe is if there were to be an intruder. Especially, one armed with a dangerous weapon. I would be scared if that happened and it is also a lot of pressure to make sure that I remain calm in emergencies because the children can sense my emotions and will feel scared and probably start crying. That has always been my biggest fear when I was in school and now I work in a school.
