Being able to protect all children from harm that happens to come our way unexpectedly and having to keep all children safe against these harmful situations.

My biggest worry in keeping children healthy and safe are gun violence/ school shootings. I also worry about child injury on the playground at school (most concerning including head injury and broken bones or bleeding). I am most interested in learning how to support both physical and psychological safety of children at school.

personally My biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is preventing accidents and illnesses while still letting them explore and learn freely. It can be hard to find the right balance between safety and giving them independence to grow and try new things.

I worry a lot about children seeing things that are not appropriate for them, bullying, food and housing security and that parents are under lot of pressure with not enough time to process stress or build healthy relationships with their children.

I tend to worry a lot about food allergies and choking. Sometimes I’m concerned that a child will have an unexpected allergic reaction to something they eat or touch in the classroom. As I work with kids under three, I also worry frequently about choking because it can happen so suddenly and I know that if it happens I will have to act with great urgency.

This includes constant supervision, a clean and safe environment, preventing falls or injuries, and providing proper care in case of medical emergencies. I’m also concerned about their emotional well-being, as feeling safe and supported is essential for their development.
