Use the framework for planning activities, experiences, and routines. Present rich content, focused work/center areas, and both indoor and outdoor environments that have meaningful connections to children’s interests, curiosities, and development. Allow for flexibility in programming.

tener un espacio ampio con aros, cuerdas, conos, para poder realizar actividades ludico-recreativas con los niños y contar con unos solidos geometricos donde los niños puedan desarrollar sinapsis mas complejas a partir de la experiencia de las actividades.

Having a large safe outdoor space is a good start, having lots of toys that encourage movement, including physically active games that make exercise fun, and encouraging outdoor playtime rather than limiting it.

One thing I’ve done in younger classrooms like toddler and young preschool is games where you walk/move like a particular animal, usually making associated animal noises. We would walk in a large circular area free of tripping hazards and when we would complete a lap around the area we would change to a different animal. “Let’s walk like a doggy, woof woof! Let’s hop (gently) like a bunny, hop hop! Trot like a horse, neigh!” and so on.

One way is through the use of songs that can create a quick, indoor physical activity that does not involve running around the classroom, such as “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” The use of assign jobs throughout the classroom at the end of the day could also give children a physical activity that also contributes to the care of their environment.

As an Early childcare educator, one of my responsibilities is to create developmental appropriate physically activities that are fun and help the children to grow strong and healthy.

Vary the activities, have the kids stand up or stretch or move often.

Use music, act out stories, dance, and games to add fun physical activity in the classroom or outside.

kids love to copy. if they see you having fun doing something, chances are theyll want to join. i like to start different activities with musical cues or “copy cat” games. you can use this same model in physical activity through dancing, games like tag or the floor is lava (a real winner in my class).

There’s lots of ideas to incorporate physical activity into a classroom setting. Games and songs are great ways to get the whole group involved. Similarly, I think it’s important to provide some opportunities of adult instructed activity while also allowing children to make choices of who and what they want to do – often it’s a simple game.
