Finding activities that help kids run around and everyone is included. To make games fun so that any other day the kids will be excited to play or sing along. Its helping them without them actually knowing its helping them move around physically for their mental and physical health.

MemberApril 6, 2025 at 11:43 pmTo create a fun, physically active, and developmentally appropriate classroom, focus on incorporating movement into learning through activities like games, stretching, or dancing. Use flexible seating options to encourage comfort and movement, and provide spaces for interactive learning. Include hands-on materials and encourage group collaboration to build social skills. Incorporating outdoor time and sensory activities can also enhance both physical and cognitive development, making the classroom an engaging and dynamic environment.

MemberApril 7, 2025 at 6:16 amTo create a developmentally appropriate, fun, and physically active classroom, incorporate movement into daily activities by using songs, games, and dance to engage children in physical activity. Set up different activity stations, such as an obstacle course or a sensory path, that allow children to explore and move at their own pace. Additionally, encourage free play and outdoor time to help children develop their motor skills, while making sure to provide a variety of equipment and materials that promote physical engagement and creativity.
-
Great suggestions, Julian! Incorporating movement and varied activity stations fosters engagement and supports children’s physical development wonderfully!

Dancing is a fun way of getting active that a lot of classes at my center use, and I’ve noticed that children don’t need too much help getting moving once we’re outside. However, when I have a few students who need a little help to find a fun physical game, I often find it easy to play catch or kick a back and forth with a group while still supervising the other children on the playground. When I’m with younger toddlers, occasionally, playing catch with a small ball or bean bag is a huge source of enjoyment for them, and it’s always fun to work on those key motor skills at a slower pace when I only have a couple kids I’m watching.
-
Great insights, Stephanie! Incorporating dance and simple games like catch fosters both fun and motor skill development effectively.

it’s about blending movement, learning and play in ways that meet children’s needs. there are some tips:1. Design the space for movement : clear, safe space, use flexible furniture and soft mats.2. Build movement into routines like start the day with a movement based welcome song3. Plan for all developmental levels like offer choices ( running, hopping or walking like a crab)4. Making learning active, example use movement game to teach letters, numbers, shapes5. Incorporate music and dance 6. Go outdoors daily7. Encourage cooperative play
-
Great insights, Putu! Blending movement with learning truly enhances engagement and supports diverse developmental needs. Well done!

MemberApril 14, 2025 at 11:30 pmYou can establish spaces for play that are focused on a particular talent, you can also create a space for outdoor education by setting up obstacles to encourage kids to develop their gross and motor skills on their own while having fun outside.Activities like cutting, pasting paper and making paper crafts are excellent activities for developing their fine motor skills
-
Use games, dance, or action songs. Set up areas for different types of play (blocks, art, dramatic play). Match toys and tools to children’s developmental levels. Keep things fresh and engaging. Let kids choose and lead some activities. Be active and excited to participate with them!
-
Great suggestions, Irfana! Your emphasis on choice and engagement will definitely foster a fun, active learning environment.

MemberApril 16, 2025 at 8:19 pmto create a developmentally appropriate fun classroom, it is important to listen in order to know what makes each child unique. Knowing their specific interests or dislikes can allow you to tailor things to better interest them and help them to enjoy school and learning. Singing, dancing, and helping them to feel cared about and loved is also very important
