Say clearly and loud the problem’s name so that every party knows about it and by using brainstorming both parties can come to a common conclusion and solve peacefully the problem.

MemberAugust 22, 2024 at 12:24 amMy advice is to keep an open dialogue with the families and maybe ask if they did anything fun over the weekend or if they have any fun plans coming up. Always making positive comments before and after having those tough conversations as needed.

MemberAugust 25, 2024 at 9:31 pmMy best advise for creating and maintaining relationship with parents and their children is quality time and full attention when they are in my presence. During morning drop off and afternoon pickup giving the family member quality time without other distractions. Ask how their day is and be genuine. When people feel cared for and cared about they will open up and let you in, which provides great relationships and trust.
-
Come in with an expectation that the parents will react differently, and that there may be emotional responses. Try to be open to those feelings, and present the issue at hand with clarity and resources if need be.
-
Develop a trusted friendship. Be sincere and open-minded, but also compassionate and understanding. Provide the family with the same secure environment as you do for their child, and work with them.
