Also keeping a line of open communication is key here as well.

Maintenance is something that seems to easily be over looked.. TO MAINTAIN… I would recommend looking at what works well in the partnership and strategically insert occasions just like with curriculum to recreate what works well. jumping in to take the blame if there was a less than ideal choice made in behavior… even if not noticed. Recall events and conversations and bring up info from previous conversations and ask about what interested them.

I believe people can detect the sincerity in how much we care for their children, and centering that in the discussions, while respecting the parents as the primary childcarer and expert on their child, aids meaningful communication.
