The equipment that can be used to put a two- months old infant to sleep are: a crib, bassinet, and playpen. That are approved by the regulations of the state of Washington. Also, do not place any objects such as blankets, pillows, bumpers or toys that could cause the baby to suffocate.

Using approved sleep equipment is the first step in creating a safe sleep environment.

•Safest place for a baby to sleep is a single-level crib, infant bed, bassinet or playpen.

•Mattress must be firm and snuggly touch each side of the crib or bed to prevent the infant from becoming entrapped between the mattress and crib side rails.

•Each child must have his own separate bedding and it needs to be stored without touching other bedding.

A 2 month old baby needs a single-level crib , bassinet or playpen that has a safety approval. The mattress must be firm and fit snuggly on each side of the crib or bed to prevent entrapment of the baby. The baby should have its own bedding.

A two month infant should have a single level crib, bassinet, or playpen with a snug mattress so the infant can’t fall in the sides and suffocate. Any bedding underneath should be only used for that child and a two month infant should be on their back with no bedding on top of them.
