This baby should be placed in a single level crib, infant bed, bassinet, or playpen for their nap. The mattress should be firm and the resting place should be soft on the side and be contained by rails, netting, or soft fabric so the baby does not risk getting entangled. Lastly, and most important is that the baby should always be placed on their back.

single crib with firm mattress, only a fitted sheet, no bumpers, blankets or toys. A play pen or bassinet is fine if available.

The safest setup for sleeping is a single-level crib with a firm mattress and fitted sheet.

Great response, Ryley! A single-level crib with a firm mattress and fitted sheet is indeed the safest choice for a 2-month-old infant.

For a 2-month-old infant, use a firm, flat mattress in a crib or bassinet with no soft bedding or pillows to ensure safety. Always place the baby on their back to sleep, and if swaddling, use a lightweight, breathable blanket without tightness. Dress the baby in appropriate sleepwear to prevent overheating and regularly check the sleep environment for safety, keeping it free from hazards like cords or blinds.

A crib or playpen with a firm mattress making sure the mattress and the walls of the crip or playpen do not have any gaps.

A 2 month old infant should sleep on their back in a crib, bassinet, or similar sleeping environment with no blankets or any other items that could cause suffocation.
