For an infant 2 months of age, the safest sleep equipment has a firm, flat mattress in a crib, bassinet, or play yard, with a fitted sheet and without soft bedding, pillows, or toys. A wearable blanket or sleep sack is preferred over loose blankets. Always position the baby on their back to sleep and keep all items out of the sleep area. It is recommended to share the room with the baby for the first six months for safety. These practices will help reduce the risk of suffocation and SIDS.

For a 2-month-old infant, the safest sleep equipment includes a firm, flat mattress in a safety-approved crib, bassinet, or portable play yard. The mattress should fit snugly within the frame to prevent gaps where the baby could become trapped. The crib or bassinet should be free of soft bedding, pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals, as these can pose a suffocation risk. Always place the baby on their back to sleep, and ensure that the crib meets current safety standards, including sturdy sides and no loose parts.

A 2 month old should sleep in a crib or bassinet that meets safety standards of the CPSC, with a firm mattress and no extra bedding.

Infants should be put to sleep in a single level crib with firm tightly fitting mattress and sheet, bassinet, play pen, or infant bed, with nothing else in their sleeping area like toys, blankets, or bumpers

You should have the infant in a a single-level crib, infant bed, bassinet or playpen. The bed should not be shared with other children. The mattress must be firm and the right size for the crib.
