It is essential to children’s growth that they participate in active, meaningful learning. Here are a few inventive methods to make this happen. Organize straightforward, kid-friendly experiments that let kids investigate science ideas via practical exercises. Organize scavenger hunts that inspire kids to investigate the outdoors, developing their ability to observe and their love of the natural world. Introduce curriculum-related themed dress-up days. This links into the learning objectives while igniting imagination and creativity.

Children can be engaged in active learning in a variety of enjoyable ways. You can engage in hands-on activities such as building or art projects, use child-friendly apps or programs, explore the outdoors through walks or scavenger hunts, encourage storytelling and role-playing, conduct simple science experiments, engage in music and movement, and use educational games or puzzles. These activities make learning more interesting and meaningful for children while also assisting them in understanding and exploring new topics.

For imaginative play I like to ask open ended questions about the stories they are telling together, or join in for a couple minutes before excusing myself. An example that has nothing to do with that explanation is there is a tiny bird living below the playground that has been singing all winter even though all the other birds migrated away, so every time we go to the playground, I’ll ask them what the birdsong sounds like, or what does it eat, or encourage everyone to mimic how they see it moving around.

Hands on experiments, educational games, quiet reading spaces, integrating art and music and outdoor spaces where children can learn about the environment.

have enough material for the children and that it is visible. if it is safe for children have art supplies at their level they can have access. also talk to the children during play. as question that are open ended or describe what they are doing to get them to engage longer.

Some creative ways are colorful play doh activities, pouring and scooping with water, picture books, sounding and tracing letter sounds using sand work and simple crafts.

Circle time, small group. Doing arts and crafts , singing playing outside, sometimes even teacher participating helps kids get involved.

One way will be doing arts and crafts, children minds just expand when their are working with freedom by creating, ask them questions about their work, children would have the chance to share, “serve and return” would be a way to expand their minds better.

    1. Music is a great way to get children engaged. Singing, dancing, or playing simple musical instruments helps in the development of auditory and motor skills.

When reading a story with a child, I like to stop and ask questions about what they have heard and make predictions about what they think will happen next. This helps them practice their listening and comprehension skills as well as keeping them engaged.

The easy answer is make learning fun. Perhaps involves arts & crafts, or make a song & dance up to catch the childrens attention and teach at once.

One key way to promote engagement is engagement and excitement from the teachers. When a teacher is excited about what is going on and enjoying themselves it is more likely that the children will become excited about their learning.
